Chris Storm is a Vice President in the Investments Division of Henry S. Miller Brokerage. He currently specializes in the development and sales of self-storage facilities. During his career in commercial real estate, Chris has brokered, managed and developed retail, office, multi-family, industrial and self-storage properties. He also has experience in both residential and commercial land development.
Chris began his real estate career in 1972 and worked at Folsom Investments and the Vantage Companies in Dallas before returning to his hometown of Amarillo. There he launched Storm Realty Group, a commercial real estate brokerage and management company as well as Sable Realty, a commercial real estate development company.
From 1999 to 2006, Chris served as Chairman and CEO of Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, a large childcare organization located in the Texas Panhandle. He returned to the real estate business during a six-year semi-retirement period in Montana.
Chris graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in accounting and real estate. After years of work, he returned to school and earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Chris and his wife, Grite, live in Dallas and spend vacation time at their home in France.
Chris is a Certified Property Manager, a professional designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management. He is also a member of the Self-Storage Association and the Texas Self-Storage Association.
