Established in 1961, Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT) empowers individuals and communities to address the escalating problem of adult low literacy through evidence-based literacy programs.  LIFT is based in CitySquare’s Opportunity Center, where thousands of adults receive the training and tools they need to live more productive and self-sufficient lives.   LIFT’s volunteer teachers provide instruction in reading, GED preparation and English as a Second Language to thousands of adults each year.  Giving to LIFT enhances lives and strengthens our community in real ways, for years to come.  Click here to watch a 2-minute video about the ways that LIFT is changing lives through literacy.  To learn more about LIFT, please visit www.lift-texas.org.

The event also benefits the Vance C. Miller, Jr. Classical Guitar Scholarship established in 1998 by a gift from Henry S. Miller, Jr. and Juanita Miller. The scholarship provides funding for undergraduate and graduate students studying classical guitar in the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. www.smu.edu/meadows/music  The recipients are chosen by faculty recommendation of students who exhibit outstanding artistic ability on the classical guitar.

A portion of the entry fee benefits LIFT and the VCM Classical Guitar Scholarship. Please return all information required including handicap’s on each player in your foursome. The total number of foursomes expected is 36. This year, after golf there will be a raffle to benefit LIFT and if you are interested in sponsorship please contact: Valorie Hubler; 972-419-4005 or vhubler@henrysmiller.com

Thank you again.

We hope to see you there
